"Ink Your Map"

The title of this blog and this post comes from Bitter Ruin's Ticker Don't Tock, if you make it through the post you'll get treated to the video of the blog, I promise I'll keep this one brief.

I have had several blogs in the past, I have this obsessive notion with blogs like I do notebooks. I need to have a new one for each project, each new thing I wish to try or wish to write or wish to live. So this blog is my new notebook for my new project, the project that is never ending, frequently failing, occasionally succeeding. My life.

It's a bit early for a wallowing blog for the end of the year, but this is exactly what that is. I don't want to wait until the end of the year before I planning for what I want to do with this new project, what I want to achieve and what I want to get out of the year that is yet to come. This is me planning, it's a scary concept and not one that I do very often or very well but that is exactly what I am going to do with this blog.

I am doing away with "New Years Resolutions". They don't work. I "resolved" I would do many things this past 12 months. All I can say is that I have been bitterly disappointed by my apparent lack of interest in anything what so ever. Not entirely my fault, not through acts of laziness, not really. This past year depression and anxiety have been my foes, and they are still demons on my back and I am not entirely sure I will ever be rid of them. Or at least not for a long time.

However, I have decided that since it has pretty much ruled and dictated over 2014 it is not going to do the same to 2015.

There are many many things I want to achieve in the next 12 months. I know I will not necessarily get to do all of them, I might not quite reach some, just out of reach by a hairs breath or so far away I'd need a telescope to see them with any form of clarity. So my aim is to achieve 50% of the things I want to achieve in total by the 31st December 2015.

So this blog is my map, and I will ink it with where I'm going, and one day it will hopefully show where I've been, the journey I've taken to achieve goals in one way or another.

Enjoy the song.
